Highly-rated Ligue 1 striker set for move to Premier League.
Manchester City and Chelsea are set to join Arsenal in the race for St. Etienne’s Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang according to The Sun.
The Gunners were thought to be leading the chase for the Ligue 1 star but it now appears that the City and Chelsea are ready to muscle in with big money bids.
Aubameyang has been dubbed the ‘African Neymar’, sharing his trademark Mohawk hairstyle with the Brazilian, and has been lighting up the French top flight with some scintillating performances.
The striker has scored 16 goals for St. Etienne this season and is earning himself a reputation as a clinical finisher.
St. Etienne are rumoured to be holding out for £15 million for the player but Arsenal were said to have valued Aumbameyang closer to the £10 million. The Gunners were keen to avoid an auction inflating the player’s price but the entry of Manchester City and Chelsea into the market has strengthened St. Etienne’s hand.
Chelsea are keen to strengthen their attacking options after seeing Spanish striker Fernando Torres endure another torrid season. They are keen to pair up Aumbameyang with January signing Demba Ba.
Manchester City meanwhile are keen to bring attacking reinforcements, with Edin Dzeko set to follow Mario Balotelli out of the Etihad exit door.

Manchester City continue d'avancer sur le dossier du Stéphanois Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.
Comme nous le révélions précédemment, Manchester City s’active sur le dossier de Pierre-Emerick (23 ans, Saint-Etienne), dont le contrat expire en juin 2016. Les Citizens (et plus précisément Patrick Vieira, responsable du développement du football) sont en contact avancé avec Oscar Damiani, l’agent de l’attaquant international gabonais. Ainsi qu’avec le père de l’ancien joueur de Dijon, de Lille et de Monaco, auteur de dix-sept buts en championnat. Un rendez-vous est prévu le week-end prochain. Le dossier est jugé en très bonne voie.
Mais alors que le Paris Saint-Germain garde un œil sur le dossier, d’autres clubs étrangers sont aussi sur les rangs. Outre Manchester City, Tottenham ou encore Newcastle ont également manifesté leur intérêt pour le natif de Laval. En Allemagne, le Borussia Dortmund est très intéressé. Idem concernant l’AS Rome, le Milan AC et la Fiorentina du côté de la Serie A. La Viola est disposée à débourser aux alentours de dix millions d’euros pour débaucher le buteur des Verts (ndlr : Loïc Rémy de QPRou encore Kevin Gameiro du PSG sont aussi suivis). Pas sûr que ce soit suffisant… City essaie de prendre les devants. Mise à prix : 12-14 M€.

wäre genau der falsche schritt für ihn. ich würde es freuen wenn er zb zu newcastle geht, oder zu liverpool sollte man carrol loswerden. aber bei city wird er wohl leider untergehen...

Woher weißt du das? Er kann vorne alles spielen und außerdem spielt Mancini in der Regel mit 2 Stürmern,wovon wir gerade 3 + einen halben(Guidetti) haben bei dem nichtmal klar ist ob er nächste Saison verliehen wird oder bleibt.

Woher weißt du das? Er kann vorne alles spielen und außerdem spielt Mancini in der Regel mit 2 Stürmern,wovon wir gerade 3 + einen halben(Guidetti) haben bei dem nichtmal klar ist ob er nächste Saison verliehen wird oder bleibt.

Ich kann's zwar nich erklären, aber iwie hab ich einfach so das Gefühl, dass Aubameyang nur "richtig funktioniert", wenn das Umfeld wirklich stimmt und einigermaßen harmonisch is. Glaube daher aktuell einfach nich, dass er bei City auch solch krassen Leistungen bringen würde. Is wie gesagt nur so mein Gefühl.
Außerdem bleibt mMn abzuwarten, wer nächste Saison City-Trainer sein wird ...
