Selon les informations de RMC Sport, l’OL travaille pour tenter de faire revenir Karim Benzema (36 ans) dans une situation compliquée dans son club saoudien d’Al-Ittihad. Mais le dossier est très complexe. Surtout financièrement.
S’il est sous contrat jusqu’en 2026 avec le club saoudien, Benzema intéresse l’état-major de l’OL qui s’active en coulisses pour ce qui serait un incroyable come-back. Les dirigeants lyonnais comptent notamment sur les bonnes relations entre Eagle, le groupe qui détient le club rhodanien, et l’Arabie saoudite pour y parvenir. Mais le dossier est très complexe.

Wie der Sender RMC Sport berichtet, bemüht sich Olympique Lyonnais um Karim Benzema, der den Verein vor über 14 Jahren für 35 Millionen Euro zu Real Madrid verließ. Das Vorhaben des abstiegsgefährdeten Krisenklubs sei aber „sehr kompliziert“ und ein Vollzug „unwahrscheinlich“. Denn: Benzema wechselte im Sommer zum Al-Ittihad Club, hat in Saudi-Arabien noch einen mehr als gut dotierten Vertrag bis Sommer 2026. Lyon hoffe nun auf die guten Beziehungen zwischen der Eagle Football Holdings, der Firma von Lyon-Eigner John Textor, und dem saudischen Staat.
