Derweil steht der Innenverteidiger kurz vor der Auflösung seines Vertrags beim FC Viktoria Köln und ist sich nach RevierSport-Informationen auch mit einem neuen Arbeitgeber einig. Wie RS erfuhr, wechselt der 29-jährige Defensivspezialist zum Sportclub Verl. Heißt: Berzel bleibt in der 3. Liga und wird mit den Ostwestfalen, wie auch zuletzt bei Viktoria Köln, um den Klassenerhalt in dieser Spielklasse kämpfen. Eine offizielle Bestätigung der Verler steht noch aus.
